Just over 6 hours from the time of your post. The Doubles draw may be made first, but I'm not sure. Looks like JMG really is going to play there.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.

Lucky you Dulrich

I just called for Alex B.'s result and got absolutely nowhere. They tried to tell me that he's still on court. He was scheduled to be second with a 9 AM start for the day so I find that unlikely with it being 1 PM.

I also went to look at the website on the off chance that results from Round 1 might be up. It's a well-designed website but doesn't do a lot of good when there's nothing to offer

PAW 2013:
Munich - 2nd place
Halle - 4th place
's-Hertogenbosch - 4th place
GSTAAD - WINNER

I guess it depends on how you look at it. There are only so many spots in Challengers to go around so to say that some of these guy had a choice in what Challenger may not be accurate. A lot of these guys do not have sponsorships so they may not have the money to travel either so that's why they choose to play in the States. So, yes some of these guys are being forced to play Quallies for a Challenger where they would normally be in the Main Draw & possibly be seeded.

Well, I wouldn't exactly call that forced either. The ones that don't have the sponsorships are most likely to be the ones that wouldn't get a seeding in a different Challenger this week.

Don't quite get your logic

Just because someone is ranked high enough to be seeded doesn't equate good sponsorship.

Re: Week 11: Sunrise, Florida $100,000

I don't quite understand the problems people are having with this tournament. It is designed to draw big names, higher ranked players. It offers more points and more money, and a surface similar to Miami. So it's more competitive, that's what tennis is about. Any of the guys who had a problem with it could have taken the week off and stayed at home to save money. It's more worthwhile to complain about the way the USTA seems to have screwed around with the Challenger schedule this year in a way that has seriously affected some of the guys' ability to defend their points.

Tell JulienB that he can come play in my backyard instead, I'm only two hours from you...

Just waiting for the draw, like everyone else, to see if its worth the drive. Otherwise I'll wait for next week in Miami.

I like how you say people rather than just state it directly .

It is "designed" to sell maximum amount of tickets. Challengers are not for "higher ranked" players. There is a reason why there are Challengers and why there is "ATP level." By allowing the higher ranked professionals to play this tournament it takes away another chance for those who play at Challenger level to earn their points and go up to the next level.

Re: Week 11: Sunrise, Florida $100,000

I think I'm the only one who cares here but I just called. I don't have a scoreline because the lady on the phone didn't have the best demeanor but:

(5)ALEX BOGOMOLOV, JR. def. (WC)Brendan Evans

It may seem silly to be this excited but go to his website (when it's working again) and you'll know why

He's going to be playing Kevin Sorensen in a bit.

Did Jarkko withdraw or wasn't he allowed to play there. I think there are a few other players still in the draw who lost on Sunday, too.

Re: Week 11: Sunrise, Florida $100,000

I think the rule was that if someone in the entry list was still playing IW as of 6 PM PST then they would be withdrawn without penalty.

Jarkko had that late match vs. Safin so he was removed from the list.
