Re: Poor GGL--He is playing the best tennis of his life, but there are no posters her
GGL has had some great results this year and I have been following him as always. 4th round in IW, SF in Estoril and of course, he was runner-up in Eastbourne this week. He also cracked the top 40 this year for the first time, so it's nice to see him maximising his potential.
Verdasco - Fognini
Russell - Riba
A Beck - Baker
Vliegen - Benneteau
Almagro - Seppi
Kamke - Garcia-Lopez
Chuidinelli - Dolgopolov
Kendrick - Tsonga
Really not a horrific draw. Kamke in the first round is going to be a little tough because he has the qualifying matches under his belt (including an easy win over Levine), but GGL has had two tournaments on grass already too. As for the seeds, well Almagro is injured (Seppi would be difficult too though), Tsonga has only played two exhibition matches since RG and we'll soon see how his back holds up. Even looking beyond that, Verdasco isn't exactly a picnic, but he's no Federer or Nadal.
