P.Sampras - R.Ginepri 3:6,6:7 (10-12)

Pete lost to Ginepri 3:6,6:7(10), but he was playing quite good tennis, served 10 aces, played many good volleys. Unfortunately he didn`t win the second set in tiebreak... He had two set points at 6-5 at 7-6. Pete saved 4 match points, but couldn`t win. Congratulations for him, because he played very well

thanks greg , i still feel a bit sad

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

Hi Mimi, How are you? Long time no see!

I watched the match, Pete played great, he really pushed Robby in the 2nd set, he still got a deft touch, I really like those overhead smash..haha..that was typical him..his volley skill is still wonderful! I am sure if its on hard court, Pete will win!

hello Joyce

long time no see . How are you , me, still the same, just getting older and fatter every day

its good to hear that pete is still great, i do think he should play his first match on grass or hard court , instead of his poorest surface, clay

Re: P.Sampras - R.Ginepri 3:6,6:7 (10-12)

At first I was expecting him (to see) the old Pete, I've always watched, so initially it's a little strange to see him loose in the end.

But Actually, when I think about what he was doing, it's amazing, he hardly trained but it was all there

I think it's funny to see also, CUZ you realize it all the more, how much sheer class, technique etc. makes the PETE game, and how much Fitness is just a background factor.

A Pete sampras it top ship fitness shape, would have made it tough on any player, go PETE !!

Dont worry about this lost, he will get better as he plays - just having him back on the court is a joy for all of us guys, hope he want to play more - when he gets match tough, he will get better, 4 years is a long time not to pick up your racket, or hit a ball - thank you Pete Sampras.

Re: P.Sampras - R.Ginepri 3:6,6:7 (10-12)

Hey does anybody know what was the fastetst serve PETE clocked yesterday??

I saw one serve clocked at 114 mph, still a little away from his usual 125.

... then again Ginepri, wasn't bombing them in either, the surface did seem very slow ...
