Re: Back to the Clay...........Cheering for David in Båstad, Stuttgart and Umag

Just watched David's match against Berdych. What can I say ..... he was on fire . He did get some help from TB in the first 4 games, where Tommy hit so many UE. But David really played a very strong consistent match. Although I still can't figure out why he at 5-2 in the second decided to play it safe and moved 3 meters behind the baseline. So then he had to play 5 more games instead of just the one. But at 5-5 after some Ferrerstyle shouldershrugging he woke up again and finished it of. Well played David.

Not to many close-ups of the coach, but enough to see he needs a haircut. Did see lots of the padres. Mom was all cheers and bounces at the end while dad was like, take it easy.

Back to the telly now, because Foxsport has decided to make my Saturday and show the Monaco-Acasuso match aswell.

Hi everyone : Just joined today. I wanted to make sure one of my first posts was in David's forum to wish him buena suerte for tomorrow's match. Hope you win your 2nd title David.

You get 'pukeboy' alisia - we get Ginepri and Roddick in the RCA Semi Finals. I hope Alexito has highlights of the Finals.

Welcome to the Forum IslandGirl

As for Puke Boy playing doubles Does that boy NEVER shut his mouth!? He opens it as wide as the Mersey Tunnel - it is so unattractive

Does nobody here like Pukeboy? The poor boy. Anyway Acasuso-Monaco was very entertaining.(Foxsport skipped the first set) They both played amazing tennis. Never seen Pico fight like that before. Maybe he's becoming more mature? Chucho played some very beautiful points, but he's quite inconsistent still so that might be where David can win the match tomorrow.

Welcome to the forum Islandgirl.

Poor Carlos my ***, hasn't he won Umag like 500 times. Time to pass the trophy on to our David.

I'm a little nervous about David being the number 1 seed.

I like Carlos it's a shame they are in the same quarter & my loyalties will be tested if they play each other.

Thanks for the welcome everybody.

David lost to Carlos in the QF last year.

I like Carlos and hope he does well but not by beating David.

FerrersLinda - I'm a little nervous about David being the #1 seed as well.

I also like Carlos, but my loyalties are firmly in place on this one. If David has to play el Rey than I'm rooting for David. I just feel that Carlos already has this one in his trophycabinet and David doesn't.

I hope I've done this right - here is a link to a lot of great photos of David in Stuttgart from the Vamos Rafael Forum. You have to scroll down about 16 messages.

I see David and Jose will be playing at 1:00 tomorrow which means 4:00 a.m.!! my time.
