I don't know... It's been a while since I first noticed those marks on his arms, but I never found out what they were.

Re: DaViD FeRReR PiCs!!!

He did have it before too. A few months ago I had noticed it and asked in the live commentary thread what the white stuff was. Some smart alec (meanie in my opinion) said that it was the cocaine he smuggled while vulturing in south America. I mean I laughed at the comment because it was so absurd- it's really senseless. Some ppl on the GM have such negative things to say! Ahh I guess in the end none of their comments matter, he is a top player for a reason.

I will venture a guess and say it is zinc oxide ( hard to get off since it is an ointment) to deal with the sun. Why just on his arms I don't know.

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.

Well, to be honest, I thought about the same thing I thought, "if it's cocaine, he's not very good at hiding it"

Maybe... My guess is also that it would be some kind of protection for the skin, but I don't know much about such things.

Congratulations, David!

Yes, some of those comments are so mean. I watched some videos of Juan Carlos Ferrero and some nasty person commented that he looks like he has AIDS. That is really nasty!

Thanks for the great pics

About the white stuff on David's arms: He has it
now since a pretty long time and I also have been
wondering what it is.
Like you others I also thought its some sort of sun
protection, but not sure of course!!

2013 Australian Open Round 2

January 16, 2013 - On Margaret Court Arena, fourth seed David Ferrer dropped a set to American lucky loser Tim Smyczek before lifting to post a 6-0, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 victory. The Spaniard, a semi-finalist in Melbourne two years ago (l. to Murray), made only 24 unforced errors compared to his opponent's 77. He came into the Australian Open in a rich vein of form, having triumphed at the Heineken Open in Auckland (d. Kohlschreiber) last week.

The 30-year-old Ferrer goes into a blockbuster third-round clash with 2006 finalist Marcos Baghdatis, after the Cypriot defeated Japan’s Tatsuma Ito 3-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in two hours and 13 minutes. The 27-year-old Baghdatis, who survived a five-set scare against Albert Ramos in the first round, knocked Ferrer out in Melbourne in five sets in the 2010 second round. That was his only win in four meetings with the Spaniard, though.
