well, that is a shame to me.... the only way to progress on grass is just playing there...

one thing i heard from Vassallo Arguello about Chucho was very good...Vassallo Arguello said after his impressive wins in a row that he is a worker (he is really humble and nice guy) and the reporter asked:

-what are saying your countrymen players about your wins?

-MVA: "I know between the ones that are in the high level, Chucho feels very happy with my wins here in Roland Garros"

this is a very good thing, if you think that Chucho already lost in second round...

Re: Chucho News and Articles

Chucho isn't going wish bad things about Vassallo Arguello is he? There would be no need.

Chucho was poor at RG and there would be no point in turning up there just to get a 5 points for losing in the 1st round, especially when his mind is not in it.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Glad to know that Chucho was rejoicing about Martin's performance at the FO. It was really nice to see.

Re: Chucho News and Articles

Chucho is playing Båstad and Stuttgart. More than likely he will be at Kitzbühel.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Chucho News and Articles

It seems like Acasuso will play Wimbledon now. I don't agree with it, but hey this is the choice he has taken.

http://www.misionesonline.net/pagina...as2006&id=7657

Summary

- Chucho has confirmed that he will play Wimbledon. He is satisfied with how the first half of the year has gone and is resting and preparing his training for the second part od the year.

The Gossipy Acasuso confirmed its presence in Wimbledon "I Am very I please by this first half of the year. Now I am resting and expecting to return to the training for this second semester of the year", said.

In the course of a visit to the business yerbatera (witch doctor) Rosamonte where met with the businessman Ramón Eduardo Hreñuk, since the missionary lights up the mark in his clothing.

Reviewing the campaign on the international circuit Jose Acasuso was working for this moment and that it could happen any time. His win in Viña del Mar and his outstanding debut in Davis Cup and now I will work hard for the rest of the year.

About his selection for Davis Cup. "Mancini kept him in mind and then called me up and from my debut I was able to play against Croatia, this I can play singles or doubles and now waiting for the series against Australia"

After playing in Dusseldorf, we had a great team and I played many matches and even though we lost I was able to win all my matches and was happy with the performance.

In Roland Garrós "I began playing well, in the first round with Fabrice Santero was a long and very difficult match. Later I lost in second round with Lucas Dlouhy 4-6, 7-6(7-2), 6-3 and 6-1 yes this was a bad loss . I was considered the favourite by many people, but it is also possible to lose against any of these players cause they can play well.

In the comparison of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal with respect to the other tennis players, the Chucho thought that "I believe that Federer is clearly ahead of all and Nadal is on clay. But I believe that we can gain on them and various players have tested them.

I expect to do a good performance in Wimbledon

He confirmed that he will play at Wimbledon and the with the possibilities of a different surface, but I expect to have a good tournament. With good self confidence Chucho said " I have to continue to improve the mental, technical and physical part of my game. I haven't reached my perak and feel that I can go higher."

For 2006 Chucho would like to be inside the top 20, but I don't want to put pressure on myself. I know if I work hard and do well the things that I need to and then it will take care of itself."

Finally Acasuso is happy to work with Rosamonte and more importantly he has made his predictions for the World Cup, Brazil, Argentina and Portugal in that order.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Thanks for that article. Well, I guess that if he wants to play Wimby, it's his choice, and I respect it as such.

Yes, Chucho did the right thing and pulled out as he should have and now it only needs Gaston to do it and all is good in the world.

Calleri might be playing though.
