Well, I do believe something was hampering him and preventing him from playing his game, people who seem to say in GM his real level was exposed during 8 games are just embarrassing themselves, but it wasn't normal his display was so poor, it's still shocking he couldn't play the ball in the court because of an elongation.
He says it's because everything for him was based on fighting and chasing all the balls. When he felt he wasn't able to do that, he was lost. But it was shockingly poor though.
At least he has a coach now who can analyze with him what happened. I would feel awful if he was alone after such a "performance".
