Re: §*§ GaŽl's Videos & Audios §*§

I made a quick search for judo and found that, she says he also learned the piano! I had completely forgotten about it.

Rufin was the first coach of his son. He made him start playing tennis at the age of 4 and has never given up. ďGaŽl was a hardworker. He was training with Richard Warmoes at the TC XII next to the Bois de Vincennes on Wednesday. But he also wanted to play on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday or else he was crying. Tennis was his dope.Ē And not only tennis. ďHe could never stand still, Sylvette remembers. When he was 6 years old, he was able to spend 8 hours on the tennis court if nobody was stopping him. Foot, volley, judo, basketÖ He even took piano lessons at the Conservatoire.Ē

did Gael do a victory dance after he beat Nadal in Doha? I'm looking for youtubes videos of Gael's dances. So far I've only found the one he did after he beat Safin in Miami this week.

Re: §*§ GaŽl's Videos & Audios §*§

No, he didn't after the Nadal match. I think the Safin match was the only time this year (or maybe he did in Acapulco, I don't know, I only saw the final). He was criticized quite a lot last year for doing that (especially before the handshake) and has toned it down.

I don't have any Monfils videos anymore on this computer, unfortunately. He danced in RG, of course (Ljubo looked so pissed off), at the USO (the Nalby match, in particular), in Madrid against Roddick (Andy looked quite annoyed too)...

Re: §*§ GaŽl's Videos & Audios §*§

I uploaded the few ones I could find so far.

When he was asked about it in a French TV show after RG, they show the real Soulja Boy then:

And it's truly unspectacular, but he danced a little bit at the end of the Cuevas match at the USO:

There also was the one against Robredo in 2007 in Stuttgart, it looked quite crazy, I'll look for it later.

I couldn't resist, here is the Robredo one, but the quality of the video is bad, sorry:

There is a slow motion again at the end, if you want to study the choreography.

Gaël promoting Prince (english)

Here is what DTL had to say about this vid :

Here's a new video by Prince featuring Gael Monfils discussing and pimping out his new EXO3 Rebel stick.

La Monf is seen doing his usual acrobatics around the court while seeming so genuine and natural (not to mention huggable) during the interview as he regurgitates the great benefits of his new racquet.

Oh yes, absolutely huggable so charming.

He has blue-gray lens now... I liked the green ones better

(hit HD, it's sooo much better)

edit : I'm sorry, I just saw Karine had already posted it

The dance show before the handshake is indeed quite rude and disrespectful imo.

Re: §*§ GaŽl's Videos & Audios §*§

But I'm sure he didn't mean it that way, which makes a huge difference. Coming from him, it was spontaneous, not "in your face" imo. We know he dances all the time, that's the first thing people say about him, we regularly see it in training videos too... I really don't think he realized it was so shocking for most people and he was doing it in good fun.

The problem is that people are still referring to it all the time although he doesn't do it anymore. I'm pretty sure he danced only once this year, after the Safin match, and I still see it mentioned over and over again.

You really think so, Xavier? I think with Gael it's quite obvious that he does it all in good fun and he isn't trying to rub it in... I don't know, it always makes me laugh tbh I love it when he does it. But maybe the timing would be better after the handshake

Re: §*§ GaŽl's Videos & Audios §*§

Oh absolutely, after the hansdhake dance away my boy !
But like in other matters, the mere fact that it can be misinterpreted is enough reason not to do it before...
