Damit ist Indian Wells für mich schon fast wieder Geschichte. Fast deshalb, weil ich im Doppel am Sonnabend noch gegen Marach/Kubot (Österreich/Polen) antreten soll. Allerdings ist noch nicht klar, ob es dazu kommt, denn mein französischer Doppelpartner Gael Monfils hat eine Kniereizung und weiß deshalb noch nicht, ob er spielen kann. Am Sonnabendmorgen unserer Zeit – wir sind acht Stunden hinter Hamburg – habe ich Klarheit, und wenn Monfils absagt, fliege ich schon am Sonnabend nach Florida, wo am 26. März in Miami das nächste Masters startet.
Yes, Mischa is only talking of the doubles. Their doubles match is scheduled on Saturday, but GaŽl will play on Sunday in singles since Isner-Rochus are playing tonight, so he would have almost two more days for his knee.
And he apparently isn't ruling out yet to play in doubles, so it's probably not that bad.
But well, it still sucks, he probably couldn't practice properly this week.
