Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

Thanks for the heads up, I didn't know they also show the practice sessions, I only saw the last minute.
He just left the court, that's quite late, isn't he supposed to play in 5-10 minutes?

(The other player was Zverev.)

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

They probably leave the stream on whatever happens on the court.
Is Zverev supposed to play soon ? How did you recognise him ? I ended up thinking it might be Paulo with a cap finally ^^

Yeah but no point in warming up if you cool down during the next 30 minutes. He'll probably just change shirts and go. I remember he already did that in Bercy before the Rafa match, I was lucky enough to see his short practice just before the match began.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

I live in Germany, the German players are quite familiar to me. I'm pretty sure it was Zverev.

Allez Gaël, they dared not include you as one of the favourites in their poll on the tournament blog, so prove them wrong.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

I didn't even know he was German, shame on me !

I just had a look at the blog, "another player" has a lot more points than Jo, Gilles or Djoko Gaël still has fans !

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

I don't believe the guy who answered they just drew the names in the poll. They ignored Gaëlou, period.

Nothing to be ashamed of for Zverev, he is of Russian origin, it's tricky.

Gaël is serving well, moving well, returning well and not missing much, so he's tough to play, but Paulo really is playing below his real level so far, it's quite blah.

The only thing Gaël really sucks at tonight is converting his chances, it feels like he had BP in every service game of Paulo! Thanks God he converted that one BP on his 5th attempt.

On a side note, he's looking fabulous tonight. And I didn't know he is a believer, he's having a cross as pendant.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

Break points saved at 2-2 in the 2nd set: 10/11 for Paulo, 0/0 for Gaël. ^^

Rasheed is looking a bit annoyed too!

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

On serve it's good but on returns he can improve. He should have already broke Paulo in the second.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

And he's better ranked than Jo. Really, that's the kind of thing that makes me go

Yeah, it's not the most exciting match I ever saw but Gaël is doing the job. I'm pleased to see that he doesn't go all soft and kind in front of another Frenchie, but then again Paulo is not his closest friend.

I love his blue/white shirt. And his fingers. And I totally assume the fact that I sound like the fangirl I am
I already saw him wearing a cross a few years ago. But for some reason I can't really imagine him as a believer, maybe he's only wearing it as a jewel.

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

One could really sense it coming, but it is SO undeserved Paulo wins that set. Argh.

I find his returns good enough, deep and safe, Paulo was winning less than 60% points on his 1st serve (Gaël had stats over 95% before the last game when he was broken!)

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

The commentator is so unbelievably annoying. He already drove me nuts yesterday with his Dimitrov hype and he's totally in love with Paulo tonight. Mathieu has the better allround game, and he's playing so, so well, and such delicate shots from Mathieu, and ooooh what a shaaaame Mathieu loses this point...

Re: Rotterdam & Marseille 2009

We probably have the same. He was already driving me crazy earlier during the Jo match, all "oh god Wimbledon is only waiting for you Tsonga !" Even I, a die hard Jotard couldn't stand him. I gave up, watching on open13.fr now.

Is it just me or has Paulo raised his level in the third ? I'm afraid for Gaël now :/
