Re: Australian Open 2009

I managed to watch the match with Eurosport VOD and so saw his face in the last games before retirement I don't remember if he had already problems with his right wrist ? Sure l'Equipe will give us some news tomorrow.

Re: Australian Open 2009

He talks about his injury in this video:
http://video.lequipe.fr/video/iLyROoafJbIU.html
He had already twisted his wrist in training and the pain got worse during the match.
He doesn't sound too worried at the end when he talks about the break he will have to take now, though, he says probably 10 days before he can start practicing gently again. That was before the MRI scan, but since he already had a wrist injury in the past, maybe he can feel it's not so bad this time.

Re: Australian Open 2009

I am terribly late, but what a strange match that was !

Still honorable run for Gaelou at the AO. Now, he absolutely needs to focus on Roland Garros. The best part of the season is coming for him.

He had an MRI yesterday and nothing serious, he'll be back for Rotterdam.

couldnt come neither, didnt watch the match but yeah gaelou made a good run there and I have the impression he didnt have to force his talent to reach that stage of the tournament.

nadal won the australian and gael was the one who beat him just before, a shame he got injured.

GASQUET

Tsonga - Simon - Monfils - Mathieu - Chardy - Baghdatis
Mannarino - Safin - Santoro - Gulbis- Nishikori
