He says he needs to play matches. Last time (=IW), he had only 5-6 days training and it isn't enough for him, he was too slow.
He says now he'd like to play DC. I thought he had already comitted to that exhibition and Houston, but apparently, it's just in case Forget doesn't pick him. He points out his experience in DC, he's the only one in the team who has played 2 finals and won the Cup once. It's not just about the ranking, look at Leconte and Zidane. But he will also understand Forget's decision if he doesn't pick him.
They play good matches in training with Gasquet in DC, so he expects an exciting 2nd round. You never know with matches between Frenchies.

Re: Miami

And a new interview on his website too. He says he has worked a lot after his first round loss in IW, so it sounds much better than the last few statements they quoted in L'Équipe.
His schedule for the next weeks will depend on his ranking. Things can change very fast. If he's still around #50 after Miami, he might play Casablanca and Munich to win a few points to improve his ranking.

Re: Miami

I thought so too!
Sick of hearing people talk like he's about to retire.

Oh no! I didn't mean you sebabe, or anyone else in particular.

Re: Miami

No problem, believe me no one dreads Seb annoucing his (the thing that I shall never speak of again) happening.

I do find it really frustrating that the tournament is not being televised until today, which is unfortunately too late to see Seb play. It must be the same for you?

Sky Sports Xtra are showing 2 hours of highlights from yesterdays play at 2pm, so I'll watch that and hope they show some of Seb's match (but I bet they don't...).

Well, they didn't show any of it.

There is a roundup of yesterday's play on the ATP Masters Series site here:
http://www.atpmastersseries.tv/page/...,11444,00.html

At least there are a couple of clips of the match in it (since I didn't see any of it at all and there seemed to be no pics of it on the net either!). It probably won't stay there long though, since it's the daily highlights.
