Winterbreak = boredom = no people???

So where is everybody? People who actually post something seem to have vanished. I can understand that the winterbreak gets very long, nothing quite as boring as waiting for something to happen - but we really mustn't lose heart and forget about him! So there's no tennis for the rest of 2003, and Federer won Masters, and all my faves got kicked out during the round-robins, but please, don't forsake me! Keep posting crazy stuff, keep talking about tennis & Grosjean, or whatever else you like. We have to help each other survive the boredom of winterbreak on the ATP!

BEST OF LUCK GROSJEAN

Ulla, I'm rather relying on you for entertainment I'm afraid; I have nothing worthwhile to tell. Am translating a book full of cocktail recipes and that is about the only thing I have on my mind right now. Well, what would be a good drink to call a 'Grosjean'? Something healthy no doubt, so that's no fun either... Sorry!

Hi Ulla!I'm still here

Think of a subject and we'll have a chat about it

I know what you mean though, and was thinking the same myself, but you beat me to it

Hey,Wilma,
that Grosjean cocktail would have to have something really special in it,and it couldn't be in a tall glass .

Oi! Esther! just for bragging about how hot it is, we'll have to find some more translating for you!

It's supposed to be 15 degrees today!A bit warmer than yesterday ,and nearly as warm as an English summer

What's the weather like where you are Ulla?

OMG!It's turning into a weather forecasting thread!

Esther you are soooo lucky. This morning it was like 3 degrees, but in the afternoon it's like 13 or something in Holland. Where I live I mean..

Re: Winterbreak = boredom = no people???

Are we somehow obsessed with the weather???
Oh, Esther, you lucky girl! May you melt away soon! In Denmark it's winter, and when it's not raining, like today, it's like 4-5 degrees. Last winter we had tons of snow and down to -20!!! It was just plain awful. I HATE winter. I would never pay money to go somewhere cold, like people going on skiing holidays! No, get me palms and orange trees and the Mediterranean Sea...
Ok, Alison, you're right, this is getting a lot like the latest BBC World Weather forecast.

Re: Winterbreak = boredom = no people???

So...anyone seen a good movie lately? Just saw Tarantino's "Kill Bill" with Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. Not great moviemaking, but okay to kill time - I'm so sorry for the lame pun, but couldn't resist!

It is 86F here today in Naples, Florida! We have a cold front coming and it will only be in the low 70s later this week.

I remember cold winters, but don't miss them at all. Wish I could bottle up the sun and send it to you all!

Re: Winterbreak = boredom = no people???

What's 86F in degrees?? Does anyone know?? Yeah Steph it's really to cold. And much more of that and even worse is coming. Today it just rained like the whole day, it makes me so sad I hate winter, but for some reason I do like snow. But love 35-40 degrees muchhhh more..

Although I love skiing and I would like to go on wintervacation sometime I much more prefere the hot wether and the beaches and the palms OMG, if I could go I would leave right now.

86 degrees fahrenheit is 30 degrees celsius (have a really useful convert programme on my computer, which is ideal for translations). So Seb's gone off to an island for his holidays? Whatever for? Ideal temperature.

Ulla, are you serious? The new Tarantino film isn't worth checking out? It's actually ages ago since went to see a movie; I think Pirates of the Carabean was the last (am huge Johnny Depp fan).
