Re: The "Tenacious Florianopolis Surfers" Chat Thread!

Hey everyone,
Hope you're all having a nice summer!
I enjoyed Wimbledon a lot, I was really nervous at the end but I'm of course extremely relieved Roger defended his title, especially the way he did it (against his nemesis in the final in 5 sets, what can you ask more!!) it just made me SO thrilled. Venus also impressed me a lot (have you seen how she dismantled Sharapova and Kuznetsova back to back), so overall it was a very nice tournament for me Hopefully now Hingis will come out of her slump and challenge the very best soon!

I'm still working at Tommy Hilfiger where I made a lot of new friends, it's exciting everyday to work there I played a doubles tennis match yesterday, we lost the first set 4-6 but won the second 7-6(5), in which we were down 1-4 in the tiebreak! I was so happy to have won the second set (we didn't play a third, I had to go to work), I played really well under pressure and when I served down 5-6 in the set, that game was soooo long and I saved many break points! My serve is so inconsistent though, I need to work on that LOL

I'll give you more news soon! The summer is still going strong here

Guga is on Sweden since last week for the treatment of his injury, with doctor Per Renström, who already took care of other ATP players, according to the newspaper "Estado de São Paulo".
(...)
He is planning to play at US Open, which starts August 27th and the Davis Cup play-off tie against Austria. He needs a WC for the American event, as his current ranking is #663.

I got this news from someone who writes for tenisbrasil.com , the doctor from Sweden told Guga he won't be playing at high level again So Guga is not likely to play singles anymore but only play doubles.

Re: The "Tenacious Florianopolis Surfers" Chat Thread!

Hello everyone,
Thanks a lot for birthday wishes I came back yesterday from my Europe trip, now I'm back home for good

My trip was great, I went to Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Slovenia Never visited that many countries in one trip, so that was definitely very special Vienna was definitely the most beautiful city I have ever seen, I mean, there isn't a single ugly building in that city The atmosphere and the weather was simply outstanding, I almost didn't see rain at all I was in Belgrade when Djokovic won in Montreal, people were going crazy outside, all TVs were out and everybody was watching the match outside, screaming with every point Djoko won... It was awesome to be there Croatia was a very cool country, the Adriatic sea was wonderful, and we had a great time... I celebrated my birthday in Split. Albania was the poorest country I have ever seen, children were even knocking on the doors of our car to get money (they were fortunately locked), we were soo scared to be attacked... But Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, was another beauty and that was the last city we visited...

I watched the US Open all day, rested and hopefully I'll be all in form when Uni starts next week... 4 months of vacations have ended, that's a lot!!! It's gonna be sooo tough to start school again...

But I'm thrilled to see you guys again, and will definitely come back in this thread like before... Unfortunately it seems Guga's tennis future is quite obscure at the moment, still injured and his return looks in doubt... We can only wait, like we have been doing for the last 2 years...
