Re: Vamos Juan in Bs As

I was going to start a thread.
That's a very difficult first round.
I guess he has recovered before what was predicted. I mean, he said he had to be like 6 or 8 weeks in recovery.
This is great, so he'll be able to play here and to make a very good pre-season.

I am glad Juan is back, but hopefully it's not too soon.

Cañas beat Juan for 6-2 4-6 6-0.

Hope he will have better draw/result next.
At least it was nice to have him back on court earlier than expected.

Re: Vamos Juan in Bs As

Juan didn't play soooo bad in the last set but Cañas played really well and Pico seemed to be a bit annoyed. He served for the second set being 5/3 and was 30 love when Cañas threw his raquet and went to change it, then Pico lost the next 4 points (2 df). He was angry with the umpire and talk to him for about a minute because he let Cañas go and get a new raquet, it was able to hear. Before that, he got angry with a linesman.
He went a lot to the net, I think because that's the way you can win more points against someone who defends so well. He made mistakes, volley it's not his best thing, but I liked his attitude during the match.
And he had his own group of supporters from Estudintes de La Plata and Deportivo Merlo (don't know why about this one) and Tandil. They always shouted and the stadium was full.
And in the beggining of the match he showed a t-shirt that said "Fuerza Yayo" in reference to Edgardo Massa who had a surgery in his hip. Poor him, but what a sweet gesture from pikito

How sweet of him! That's one of the reasons why we love him.
