Asian Assault at US Open

I remember us having a thread like this to follow and cheer the Asians at Melbourne, we didn't have one for RG or Wimbledon but I decided to return this. Here are qualifying Round 1, all Asian with Soeda vs Mamiit. I decided to count Morocco too

Qualifying Round 1 match ups
Lu [22] vs Andujar
Udomchoke [13] vs Morrison
Soeda vs Mamiit
El Aynaoui vs Luczak [29]

QUALIFYING ROUND 2
SOEDA VS LUCZAK

MAINDRAW
WANG VS FEDERER [1]
KIM VS HERNYCH (KIM ORIGINATES FROM KOREA SO LETS ADD HIM)
SRICHAPHAN VS ACASUSO [24]
LEE VS RAMIREZ HIDALGO

Re: Asian Assault at US Open

What about Bjorn Phau? Isn't he part Cambodian or something? He demolished Jeff Morrison in his 1st Round match. I know he's German, but...

Paradorn looked spectacular in his match vs. Acasuso.

Re: Asian Assault at US Open

My mistake...Phau is part Indonesian. He is a small guy but he plays very well, with great accuracy and a big heart.
