Good Luck China in Hopman Cup!

Ok, this is far too early to post,

but Peng Sun is playing with Shuai Peng so I thought we could start our thread to support them in Hopman Cup now

Re: Good Luck China in Hopman Cup!

this is great! where did u hear abt this thomas, is there any news on it? i can't find any info from d hopman cup site yet. r they only playing in d play-offs or r they in d main draw?? i hope they r in, we get full coverage of hopman cup cos its held in perth, aust. i was hoping to see more asian teams representing their countries but thought japan n thailand might not play/qualify for 2005-06, didnt think china would qualify yet, it'll b their hopman cup debut.

hahaha i actually thought abt taiwan/china participating in d hopman cup awhile back, but becoz taiwan only hav higher rank male players n china only female players, i thought neither country have a high enuff combine rank to enter. peng sun's rank ard 300s right now but he is the highest rank player from china n i think his ranking can go alot higher if the chinese players r allow more atp tournies internationally.

Re: Good Luck China in Hopman Cup!

yeah, Peng Sun has won a few matches at ATP level this year

It is only qualifying They play the Netherlands.

I wanted Taiwan to be in the draw, Janet Lee and Jimmy Wang, two favourite playesr
Or Japan if it included Shinobu or Aiko
Or Korea even with Yoon-Jeong and Hyung-Taik

But China is good!

I wish Hopman Cup was a larger tournament

Re: Good Luck China in Hopman Cup!

Here are teams:

Aus - Molk & Arthurs
Germany - ALG & Kiefer
SCG - Ana & Novak
Russia - Marat & Kuznetsova
Argentina - Dulko & Gaudio
Belarus - Mirnyi & Azarenka
USA - Dent & Raymond
Play off - China (Peng and sun) vs Netherlands (krajicek and wessels)

Just misreading it, could be Peng be meaning Sun Peng and the Sun meaning Tian Tian Sun?

Re: Good Luck China in Hopman Cup!

IMO Peng Sun's singles match against wessels will be the key match, otherwise it'll be up to d mixed doublez. i hav confidence shuai can win her singles.
