As we are having reminiscence on Novak last year's 4 Grand Slam right now he is defending his last slam in over a year. So many questions around: has he resolved whatever issue he has now, leading to the only Clay Slam this year? He has proven so many times he can change to his champion gear, but the trend of peaking in semifinal only to lose the match that matter the most is very concerning
Having disposed his entire team, he has approached Agassi to be his new super-coach. Can the American with golden-slam in his resume can revive the past glory of Novak?
Is it the right momentum for him to change sponsorship to Lacoste? (I am not a fan on this new kit, Uniqlo gave him such a clean look)
Preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best.
ALLEZ NOLE!
As a fan, this is really, really heart breaking. Oh well, he has his other priorities I suppose. Thank you for that incredible 2015-2016 run. One of the proudest period being his hardcore supporter. I guess I'll just watch less and less tennis now, back to realityville and abandon any hope for him for the remaining 2017
I am.not sure what to do now..Where do I direct all the sport supporting energy to? Can't get regularly crushed week after week..Should I find solace in some hobby??
Well guys, as a Rafa fan I felt the exact same way for 2 and a half years between mid 2014 and early this year. You just have to accept things as they are and accept that fact that you don't have control over this. Lower your expectations and don't take any win for granted. He will come back, eventually. All greats do.

You're feeling this way just now? As a tennis fan, I've been in despair over Novak's game since last year's Wimbledon. How do I cope? Well, I was a long-time Red Sox fan for many years before they finally won the World Series, so I guess that toughened me up.
My commiserations, I'm sure I would have been royally pissed/butthurt after such a sorry tankjob if I were his fan. It's not nice seeing one apparently disillusioned with what they do. Hopefully ND finds happiness again, on court or off court. He's a good guy who doesn't deserve the ordeal of fighting with and against himself.
Rafa and Roger struggled, but they never capitulated like Novak did against Thiem.
Novak's problems are coming form everywhere: family, form, diet, rivals, motivation, health... So he probably feels overwhelmed by it all. I have the feeling that once he starts sorting one thing out, the others will fall into place as well. It is just very complicated at the moment. But he's a great champion and eventually he'll find a way to be true to himself.
Some people think he should take a break, others that he should continue, in order to gain confidence. I really don't know what to think. I'll just wait to see what he decides.
In the meantimre, plenty of tennis to watch. I'll cherish every little win.
Novak should just grow a beard, put up a Mole on his face and immigrate to Columbia or Bolivia or somewhere and start teaching English or something. Do it for 6 months, recuperate and come back.
I mean this thing has worked for Yolita, after her drug peddling charges in UK, so why it should not work for Novak?
If Thor's hammer struck Novak's big toe with all its Norse god force, I doubt that would be enough to wake Novak up. From holding all four Slams at the same time to zero today, from 16950 ATP rankings points to just 5805, from #1 and ~7000 points ahead of #2 to #4 ... if all that hasn't been enough to wake Novak up, I don't see that anything else will do the trick.
So is he playing Eastbourne? I dont mind him vulturing the 250 at this rate. I'm pretty desperate for some glory now, it's been way too long
If he does, somebody please make a grass season thread, including Wimbledon? I guess there is no use to have a separate Slam thread when we basically never pass through the third page

I hope this thread will work out well for him and us
