The promounciation of Ajde is: An open A like in "father", but short, then an i like in "big", and then a de with an open e at the end like in "bed". Hope it's not too complicated the way I explained it.
Yes, the H of hvala is pronounced. The first a of it is the same one like in "father", this time really long, and the second a is again short.
