Re: Back Home in Monte Carlo! SF vs Federer

Nole is only playing to end this as soon as possible right now. Looking ahead, skipping Madrid and Rome would be wise if he's not 100%, especially for RG... What is the exact nature of the injury, damn?? What happened??

Wrist injury is hard to tell. It seems injection does not help so really no idea. Probably time for an MRI and plenty of rest.

Finally over, thank God he can rest now! He fought well to stay there with this obvious pain, rest and heal well now champ

Idiotic. Should have skipped the MC and should have given a w/o or ret today.
This might cost him. A lot.

Let's hope it won't come to that,in sure if it was that bad he would've withdrawn, his physio knows more than anyone.Let's not forget he played with a an injured ankle last year.

sadly but true. I'm surprised he even stepped on the court today after the treatments he received last night

Re: Back Home in Monte Carlo! SF vs Federer

Everyone has his/her pride. And from what I read on this board, It's very important for the male species with Serbian heritage

Nole has been pounded by media all his life for his retirement/wo. His pride took great hit. When he was a small kid and had his career ahead of him and he had no idea what's the problem with his health, he was cautious. He paid a price for that. Now he's a grown man, reached certain level in his career and IMO he has the luxury of taking care of his pride.

Let's hope this injury is not a serious, long term one like DelPo's and leave Nole with his pride.

Presser sounds bad. The worst bit was that he did not retire so as to prevent reputational damage.

Fedtards in full force in GM.

Sad that Nole's own fans also dump on him when he is down. He was bullied by someone who was in the top when he was still a teenager, starting on the tour and the top dog bit down on him hard. It's a scar and hurt deep. He is still carrying that scar with him no matter how succesful and how accomplished today.
