GM is a mess. Can't believe how pathetic some Fedtards can be.

I feel he will lose the final. His current form isn't good enough. He loses focus quickly and can be broken at any moment. He must up his level if he wants to defend his title.

TBH it doesn't matter who he faces in the final since both are playing at a high level.

And yet no fedtard did notice that in the GM thread.
Seriously, they make me dislike Federer intensely. No one deserves that kind of fans, not even him.

Re: Sculpting a victory: A Pygmalion Slogan for the Australian Open! SF v Ferrer

I didn't watch Nole play Berdych, but it's funny Lee that you say he's been subpar as Tignor said this about the match:

Quote:
Djokovic was impressive, especially with the forehand, which he hit with much more confidence than he had against Wawrinka. He finished with 20 winners from that side, and he used it to yank Berdych from one corner to the other. He was also in total control of his serve for most of the night; in one fourth-set stretch, he won 16 of 17 points on serve, and he finished with 10 aces.

He was superb at times but had his usual lapses. That's my concern because he would survive vs players like Wawrinka and Berdych, but not Murray and Federer. And Rafa when he comes back. He won 16 of his 17 serving points in last set first 4 service games but went into 3 dueces serving for the match.

Re: Sculpting a victory: A Pygmalion Slogan for the Australian Open! SF v Ferrer

yeah, to jittery and not really in champion mode. hope he can pull another wimby semi and final double like in 2011, but i am skeptical. not enough aggression, unreliable serve and some dubious shot making. evidently wawrinka made him more uncomfortable than berdych. ferrer will trouble him, but also give him some rhythm he likes, at least. the problem is, ferrer likes that same rhythm as well.
haven't seen enough firepower off both wings so far. too defensive for prolonged periods, happy to move his opponents around.

However dear Lee you know better than anyone that Nole can play subpar a whole tournament and then focuse intensely against Nadal, Murray or Federer next. I've seen him do it many times.
