It's different, but not THAT different. I love this fair, mostly because it brings back all those memories of when I used to really enjoy it. Because I don't anymore, but it's always fun remembering what I used to do, the family traditions we had...

Loved the little kids. The way she was picking them up and putting them in the van like big loaves of bread.

You have cultural things -- we have this:

This is actually the state fair in Kansas. Our local fair was smaller -- but we did have carnival rides and games.

And instead of bull fights there's this:

I live here for over 10 years but have never been to the state fair

The problems are it's a long drive from where I live; not many places to park near/around the fair ground and final but not least, the neighbourhood around the fair ground is not places you want to wander around after dusk
