Okay, maybe I'm getting mixed up. I've never really researched much into North American archaeology, more into European and Asian. I find it all very fascinating, ancient history is great.

I am here just to wish George a safe trip! Have fun! and share some photos with us.

Now I am off to watch Skyfall's premiere Back later, when it's too late for George and Pedro but I can still catch up with my girls.
Thanks for your well wishing! Really appreciate it. I don't usually take many pictures on these types of holidays (non-sightseeing) but I'll maybe take a few and share them. It's not as if I'll be doing much. Just playing lots of golf and tennis, lying on the beach too. Won't go near the pool or sea, though.

Enjoy Bond, I've heard some good things about it and look forward to seeing it when I'm home.

George, you definitely need to come to the desert for a vacation -- no need to fear the sea. You can stay away from the river though -- everyone should, but some idiots always think they need to swim there.

Here is a lovely picture from the Sego Canyon area. Maybe I will go there and take some pictures. That was an area where the panels were defaced by modern man, but they had some restoration specialist come out and clean them. In doing so, they uncovered some other art too.

Also George I noted in that article I pulled up about the Archaic period, they dated it from 8000 to 2000 years ago.

It's old, but I think not nearly as old as the cave paintings in France and other places in Europe. That stands to reason since humans were late to arrive to this continent.

Okay, I'm going out to do some last-minute shopping. Thanks for that star, I'll have a good read of it when I return and will post my thoughts.

I was just reading the google news page and it's full of murdered children articles. I am now making a pledge not to read anymore murdered children stories. I can't take it.

Beautiful picture, love that the milky way is juxtaposed with the panel. So pretty.

Hopefully one day I can visit that part of the world, lots of wonderful secrets are hidden there, I feel.

Most of the stuff you read in the news is sad to some extent, which reflects awfully on us as a society. Just try not to read the news with a heavy heart, not worth feeling bad over.

Finished half the packing job, it took me near to 5 hours. Now for the hand luggage which should hopefully not take as long. Just pack a novel, a magazine, iPod etc.
