I didn't watch so...

It's really confusing. He's only producing these abysmal performances when he plays Federer. Why? is that a syndrome or something?
He was playing really well up to the final.

And what did federer say? quotes?
As usual only being nice when he wins, what a phony guy.

Be glad you didn't

I don't know,he just didn't turn up,then midways the second set,he woke up for a few mins, then bran farted at the end.But that first set was disgusting,it was either a double fault or hitting the net.

Ssshhh..........

His serve is MIA. His ground game is sub par. Either he did not want to go all out before USOPEN or like you said a syndrome.

What happened in the first set was a million dollar question. Getting a bagel is such an embarrassment. Let's see if that fires him up.

Re: Oh-Hi-Oh? Oh-HAI-Nole! The Cincy Cheering Thread!

But do you realize he only plays this bad against Federer? same thing in Wimbledon. Until then he was playing really well. I cannot understand this and as usual fans are kept in the dark. Whatever personal stuff is affecting Nole we won't know. And seriously MTF is such a dull place these days, I don't even know why I keep returning. Even the Rafa fans are gone, now it's all mugtards.
I guess Nole's Forum is the only sane place to go.

Re: Oh-Hi-Oh? Oh-HAI-Nole! The Cincy Cheering Thread!

he played like this against roddick at cincy a couple of years ago.
its family and jelena combined. and the work suffers, he is a step slower than he used to be. federer is good enough to expose it clearly, even if one disregards the first set mental walkabout.

I think we all expected a bit too much from Novak here. He was the only player that bounced strong after OG winning Toronto. He needs some rest. It's the time for Fed fans to enjoy but Novak will come a LOT stronger at the USO, I'm sure.

What exactly is happening with family and Jelena? What I am reading about family is something to do with business. Are there any differences with Jelena? I guess she was there with him in the olympics.

He lost focus and his work is clearly suffering but that's expected after the great year he had. He is the
who has to figure out what's important.

In my opinion distraction is clearly an excuse to console ourselves. They are pros and have to deal with it. Federer played better in the second set and was a better player in the wimbledon. He exposed Novak's weak foot work on the grass. Fed was also the better player in the last US OPEN. It was pure luck Novak got out of the trouble and I am more than glad for it.

I hope Novak isnt back to his old ways choking against Olderer. But i honestly think he didnt even try much. He has a good draw now and his team is back with him. Im sure we will watch him again in USO finals this year
