Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R2 vs Harrison
Nole was good, specially in his service games, very solid, but I'm kind of worried about his loss of concentration in some games.
Also so many missed backhand volleys today and better not talk about the smashes.
He's got to play better next.

David Spearing? Anyway, excellent serving from Nole, Harrison played out of his skin and still couldn't get a set even. Some bad volleys, but at least he's coming to the net, so hopefully is going to work on that

I like the fact that he is going forward..it's Wimbledon after all. It still makes me cringe from time to time but..I think he should do that more.
I wonder how many 2nd serve aces did he have? Our commie said that he won something like 16 out of 19 second serves. I noticed the similar thing in Janko's match vs Nalbandian.
Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R2 vs Harrison
well... somehow each of the three days was better than the last
Arrived in the grounds about half 6 and play had just resumed from the rain break. Watched the Gulbis, Mahut and Youzhny matches to completion (Misha signed my hat as well - told him to beat Tipsy - sorry guys and got a nod of approval ). Saw a few seconds of Troicki v Klizan, and Troicki walked past me at the end with his trademark gormless expression
But as I was settled in to watching Nole v Harrison on Henman's Hill, I decided to try my luck and go to centre. Waltzed in, found someone leaving who gave me their ticket (!), and then found even better seats so, for free, I watched Nole on centre court in TV view seats for the second half of the match! First time I've seen him as well was great
yeh, was fantastic. Was pretty surreal, understandably and don't worry about me, I was only going those three days might go at somepoint next week, though
and... ROSOL I LOVE YOU.
One of the greatest performances I've ever seen... especially the fifth.
Can't say I'm sorry... besides Rosol thoroughly outplayed him, so well deserved for sure. Novak should just mind his own business, it's still only the first week
Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R3 vs Stepanek
Stepanek is very good on grass and as everyone said, will be inspired. But Nole only needs to play within himself, without losing concentration and gives Radek any idea.
Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R3 vs Stepanek
Rosol gave me so much life , Rafa's bratty ways were apparent during the intentional collision during the change over.
Our boy would never resort to such
Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R3 vs Stepanek
This Wimbledon is a gem. First Nadal losing to a guy ranked #100 and now talks of a big conspiracy to help British players, namely Murray. Too good.

Nole could be in trouble in this upcoming match. I say this because this is one of the few occasions that someone sexier will be on the other side of the net. Hopefully he can overcome an obstacle of this magnitude and respond accordingly by playing shirtless.
