Yeah NOW it's sunny. Ugh.
If Murray wins today, I hope it's a HUGE confidence boost when he faces Fed. (I have a hard time calling him Andy as Andy always means Roddick for me )

I believe if Nole plays under the sun with the roof open, he will be better. The grass will be less slippery. I think one reason he did not feel like fighting was he could not move the way he wanted and without his biggest weapon, the fragile inner-Nole raised its ugly head.

Ooh?

Anyway from yesterday:

Quote:
Vajda on Djokovic’s semi-final against Roger Federer (their first career meeting on grass): “It will be a new match, a new surface. Maybe Novak is the favourite because I would say that he’s in slightly better shape. But Roger has a lot of titles here, and a lot of experience on Centre Court. Novak is in very, very good shape. He likes the surface and he’s very different from last year.”
Vajda you troll

Sums things up I think:

Quote:
@carole_bouchard Djokovic saying he knew RF'd play great but didn't know he wouldn't.Said his serve let him down. Pretty angry at himself. Said RF was better

I will forever fangirl Andy Roddick since he's my first tennis love. So I get it.

Grass will always be tricky for Novak, especially against a player like Roger who's been the king of grass. Nothing went right for him today and an open roof would've helped big time.

That's real class.

I saw Nole blew his nose in previous matches. I was worried if his allergy was back but may be a cold.

Vajda, lied thru his teeth?

People obviously started accusing Nole of excuses, so Miguel followed up with this:

@MiguelSeabra: let me make it clear: from the moment #Djokovic started talking everyone noticed his flu-like voice; he avoided talking about it: no excuses
Thanks Miguel, it's not often the journalists are fair about it and come to the defence of players, as opposed to trying to stir it up and start the "Sore loser/Arrogant/Racist/Sexist?" talk themselves.

Guess that explains the total lack of energy on court today and not much noise coming out of Nole.

Hard luck Nole fans, it's a shame someone has to win. Neither played the match we all wanted to see. For all the sensible Novak fans, I wish you all the best.
Good luck at the next tournament

He did look more tired then usual. The flu explains it. Tournaments come and go but Nole is still number one

Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: SF vs Federer

How can I/we digest this loss? Didn't watched the first set, but from reports, played one bad game and lost the set. He should've won the third. Really. Had chances, didn't take. Got broken. Not saying, would've won the match. But atleast should've tried harder(Easy for me to say!!!)...

I just want him to play well and give his all. Don't like him mentally giving up.

I really don't want ever to go through like a '09-10 period. Worst nightmare as a fan.

And please. Somebody do something about Nole's overhead. And while *someone* fix it, please find Nole's backhand also. Since late last year, his backhand has gone missing. Could be the shoulder???

You win some, you lose some. This is not going to be the end of the world. I hope Novak will recover soon from this match and then let the Olympics come along. I can´t wait to see that tournament, it always has a special feel to me and Nole has some unfinished business left here after that heartbreaking semi in Beijing
