Re: Grass is made for eating! Wimbledon cheering thread: R2 vs Harrison

well... somehow each of the three days was better than the last

Arrived in the grounds about half 6 and play had just resumed from the rain break. Watched the Gulbis, Mahut and Youzhny matches to completion (Misha signed my hat as well - told him to beat Tipsy - sorry guys and got a nod of approval ). Saw a few seconds of Troicki v Klizan, and Troicki walked past me at the end with his trademark gormless expression

But as I was settled in to watching Nole v Harrison on Henman's Hill, I decided to try my luck and go to centre. Waltzed in, found someone leaving who gave me their ticket (!), and then found even better seats so, for free, I watched Nole on centre court in TV view seats for the second half of the match! First time I've seen him as well was great

I want Nole to play early in the day though that means asmazif probably won't be able to make it to Nole's match again.

Thanks for sharing your stories asmazif. Was Nole up close up to your expectation ?

yeh, was fantastic. Was pretty surreal, understandably and don't worry about me, I was only going those three days might go at somepoint next week, though

and... ROSOL I LOVE YOU.

One of the greatest performances I've ever seen... especially the fifth.

Nole should be able to take care of Fed himself, no reason whatsoever to lose to him at this point of their careers. He didn't make 2011 by avoiding people and having kind draws, he made it by absolutely thrashing anyone who got in his way, that's the only way to go. Murray still has a tricky draw even without Nadal, if Tsonga plays inspired game like he did at RG, he could go all the way to the finals.

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

Stepanek is very good on grass and as everyone said, will be inspired. But Nole only needs to play within himself, without losing concentration and gives Radek any idea.

For me, I will only look into his next opponent, can't handle looking too much forward.
