Rapariga sounds harsh indeed, but it's a bigger girl than menina. menina is for younger girls. Or on a very formal note for older women who are npt married.

I am indeed a night owl. Dinner time yet?

I didn’t eat lunch until about 2:30, so I didn’t really eat dinner tonight.

What do you normally eat? sorry strange question I know, but I find it fascinating that people from different countries can have such different eating habits not only in terms of schedule but also what they eat for each meal..

Re: The new (and improved) Djokoforum chat thread! Part 2

for example a normal day for me if I have classes at 9am:

Before leaving home: milk + cereals + 1/2 apple or some other small portion of fruit (I mix it all ina bowl with the milk and cereals 9

I might eat a snack around 11 like a cereal bar or an apple

lunch around 13: fish or meat + pasta or rice + some veggies or sallad + fruit

around 5pm: yogurt + cookies or sandwich

dinner around 8pm: soup + fruit (normally this, but sometimes I need more food so I go for something like lunch)

I think that’s interesting too.

I was surprised when I lived in Germany that the main heavy meal was lunch.

So, when I was working, I had a sprouted grain toasted bread and poached egg whites (gave the yokes to the cat) or just toast or oatmeal with milk for breakfast. Also coffee. All this before 7 am.

Then sometimes a snack around 10, but sometimes not.

Lunch at 12. Could be anything. Salad, slices of pizza, soup, baked potato. Sometimes a hamburger.

Then dinner around 6 — usually this is something more traditional — meat/fish, vegetable.

Now that I don’t work, it’s a lot less structured. I have Swedish pancakes twice a week. And toast many times — that same sprouted grain bread. Sometimes white bread toast. Sometimes poached egg whites. A light lunch usually unless I’m really hungry, and then I have dinner at lunch time. I eat more potatoes now than I did when I was working. Not sure why. Sometimes I cook up batches of stuff and save it in the freezer. Now, I probably will start eating more beans and soups because it’s getting colder.

Re: The new (and improved) Djokoforum chat thread! Part 2

that made me hungry!

sounds like you eat less than I do. I guess we eat a lot here in Portugal, but considering what we eat, we actually eat healthy!

colder? how cold does it get?

No, I eat a lot!

What you eat sounds more balanced. I see that I don’t eat fruit regularly even though I like it.

I eat cereal sometimes for a snack.

COLD. The last two winters have been brutal — −0 F. Usually here it is always above freezing in the daytime, but last two winters there was a whole month when it didn’t get above freezing in the daytime. Horrible. Normally, it would be in the 40s in the daytime and then maybe in the 20s at night or even the teens, but not horribly cold. Normally, when it snows, it melts by noon. But the last two years the snow has stayed for a whole month.

To me, “I’m sleepy” means I’m going to bed very soon.

I’m a little hungry now. IT’s 8 pm. Just dinner time for Portugal. Maybe I’ll have cereal.

Oh, I misread it. You said now I need to feel sleepy.

Most romantic getaways.

Edit: No, it’s number 6. Right between Morocco and Niagara Falls
