for example a normal day for me if I have classes at 9am:
Before leaving home: milk + cereals + 1/2 apple or some other small portion of fruit (I mix it all ina bowl with the milk and cereals
I might eat a snack around 11 like a cereal bar or an apple
lunch around 13: fish or meat + pasta or rice + some veggies or sallad + fruit
around 5pm: yogurt + cookies or sandwich
dinner around 8pm: soup + fruit (normally this, but sometimes I need more food so I go for something like lunch)
I think that’s interesting too.
I was surprised when I lived in Germany that the main heavy meal was lunch.
So, when I was working, I had a sprouted grain toasted bread and poached egg whites (gave the yokes to the cat) or just toast or oatmeal with milk for breakfast. Also coffee. All this before 7 am.
Then sometimes a snack around 10, but sometimes not.
Lunch at 12. Could be anything. Salad, slices of pizza, soup, baked potato. Sometimes a hamburger.
Then dinner around 6 — usually this is something more traditional — meat/fish, vegetable.
Now that I don’t work, it’s a lot less structured. I have Swedish pancakes twice a week. And toast many times — that same sprouted grain bread. Sometimes white bread toast. Sometimes poached egg whites. A light lunch usually unless I’m really hungry, and then I have dinner at lunch time.
I eat more potatoes now than I did when I was working. Not sure why. Sometimes I cook up batches of stuff and save it in the freezer. Now, I probably will start eating more beans and soups because it’s getting colder.
