Then again, I don't know what the article says yet... but I have hope since I believe Viktor is the first alternate at this point
Hey - that's great I must admit I haven't had the pleasure of seeing Nole and Viktor together much - but Viktor always seems such a bright and jolly character He could bring sunshine to anyone. I'll never forget his little singing routine at Wimby practice - though sometimes I wish I could, as he truly can't sing

Btw - if Jelena is reading this - good luck with your interview today

Yes, I also think the OG can be good for him.

Re: Going for the Gold in Beijing-- Novak at the Olympics!

Morning all - de-glumped now so onwards and upwards.

However, the two Murray defeats have highlighted the fact that when someone manages to stays with Nole with depth and changes of pace he's at a total loss as to what to do. He is easily frustrated and his shots start misfiring alarmingly. Yesterday was clever by Andy and kudos is due there but it was hardly spectacular stuff. Also, Nole couldn't have played a third set and clearly looked like he didn't want to.

These points needs fixing and fast if he is to keep his ranking and go higher.

Would like to endorse the welcome back for Alex - you really have been missed so do come back soon.

Thank you Herdwick. Your observation abut Nole is spot on. Novak needs to be more aggressive with Murray. The problem is Nole made too many UE yesterday. I'm concerned about his body language. My impression was that he didn't really care if he is going to win or lose. Sure, it was hot and humid, maybe he was tired but still... I'll support Novak no matter what, I just hope to see him playing his best tennis again. We all know what he is capable of. Somehow, I believe that he'll come back stronger than ever

Unhappy Re: Going for the Gold in Beijing-- Novak at the Olympics!

This is from Tennis.com's the Ticker:

Sam Stosur on the conditions at Beijing: "It's very hot, very humid and the sun's not even out yet so it can only get worse from here... It's unpredictable and probably the hottest conditions we are going to play in all year."

This is the first player in Beijing I've heard talk about the conditions. Nole looked pretty spend playing in the heat of Cinci. Though, he did make the final.

I agree. It seemed that since his shots weren't working he didn't get very into the match 100%. There were flashes of brilliance though, like those match points at 3-5

I've heard only good things about you as a poster here so hope to see you back

Thank you Neenah. It's good to be back. I actually noticed that not too many people are bashing Novak in GM any more. Somehow I think haters will be back when Nole wins the USO

You can call me Nina. I don't open enough threads in GM (I stick to the Funny Fotos types ) to know too much about who is bashing whom, but I've gotten the impression that some people are calming down with the bashing, which is nice to see.

Winning --> bashers
Losing --> no bashers

Re: Going for the Gold in Beijing-- Novak at the Olympics!

If that's the equation, then I'd rather have bashers and just hide in here

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer
