Edgardo Yayo Massa "You Won't be Forgotten" Thread

Edgardo is finally back on the tour after having a lot of injury problems with his shoulders and I hope he can come back this year without any more injury problems.

He made his comeback last week in the Salinas challenger and qualified and made the quarter finals after almost a year out losing to Kubot.

He played juniors with Nalbandian and Coria, though like the other Argentines besides the two players mentioned he didn't get funding.

Yes, Nathii, he won the Szczecin Challenger in 2004 along with the one in Dubrovnik straight afterwards.

Clay is his favourite surface, but he has more than enough ability to be in the top 100 without injury keeping him out.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Edgardo Yayo Massa Thread

Yayo qualified for the Mexico City challenger beating Veronelli, Kohlmann and Giraldo.

He is now in the quarter finals after beating Roitman and Waske, though to be fair these are good matches for him to play on clay and now plays Falla for a place in the semi finals.

It seems Edgardo is lacking some condition and that makes sense.

He has a protected ranking of 109 and he hasn't used it for these challengers and it's a good idea for him to go through qualies to get some match practice.

Well Rosie, if you go to watch Casachallenger wish him the best.

Yayo retired from his match after being down 6-1 3-1 against Falla. He has had enough injury problems and just hope it isn't anything too serious.

He will play in Houston, though I am not sure if he will play a challenger in the mean time.

Re: Edgardo Yayo Massa Thread

Edgardo is in the Houston qualies and will play Hugo Armando in the first round and then if he wins he is more than likely to play Giles Muller, but all the best Massa.

Yayo plays Andy Beck in the last round of qualies and he has a good chance to make it through to the main draw and after all his bad luck, it would be great to see him there.

Beck's results on clay aren't the most intimidating right now... anyways...

Vamos Formosa!!! Good luck Yayo. It'd a great prize to play his second RG after his horrible 2005.

Re: Edgardo Yayo Massa Thread

He hasn't got the hardest opponent, but 2 of his countrymen have qualified and he wouldn't want to be showed up.

Good luck Yayo.
