Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

The Napoli Challenger has an excellent field. I like Navarro, so I'm not too happy with that draw and the guarantee that one them will lose in the 1st round. I do like Lucho quite a bit more though, so hopefully he can win that and do well next week.

Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

Navarro is tough for a guy like Lucho, but he survived it.

He now plays his doubles partner for the event Federico "Gilberto" Gil in the 2nd round.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Gilberto Gil thumped Lucho 6-3 6-1.

Ouch, this result sucks
Is it so that Gil is a bad match up for him?

Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

Damn that's a shame. I was hoping for Lucho to put up a better fight than that.

Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

Lucho will be playing in Valencia he got in directly and is 1st alternate in Barcelona.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

If he doesn't have any more injury setbacks, then he will be OK.

Gilberto Gil and Lucho defeated Mertinak/Marach 6-4 6-2. They play Coria/Hood in the semis and if they win that then the final will be against either Vassallo Arguello/Cipolla and Cibulec/Lewinsky.

Good luck to the living legend that is Lucho at Monza. Hopefully he can remain healthy and put some good results together.
He has played Maxi twice before, in the 1st round of the Montevideo Challenger last year, and at the Copa Telmex earlier this year, and won both matches in straight sets.
