Re: Luis Horna's Power Room!!!!

Lucho has made his 2nd final on tour and now plays chubby Chela after being Gaudio 4-6 6-4 6-3 and congrats for winning some matches in a row and now win the one that counts.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Lucho wins his first title on tour and hopefully he can be able to use this as a springboard to some better results in the big clay events.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

English Summary:

ACAPULCO.— After qualifying for the final of the Open Mexican one of Tennis, the Peruvian Luis Horna assured that the victory over the Argentine Gastón Gaudio has a special flavour, and will have more if crowned champion over Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela.

Horna, ranked 68th in the world, indicated that in spite of the great match carried out with his rival. “I won because I played better in the important moments and added that the victory already has a special place, although it will be better to have the title in his hands.

"Without doubt this is the most important victory, and to arrive at the final of an International Series Gold event is very important, so I am going to have it kept always in a very special place but I believe that would be more special if I leave victorious tomorrow", indicated Horna.

In spite of exhaustion during the long and hard fought match against Gaudio. Horna said that listening people chanting his name gave him encouragement to keep on fighting and to overcome the scoreboard after the lost of the first set.

He said first set slipped from his hand by some tiny and stupid errors. but he felt in 2nd set match was turning around.

He didn´t want to put more pressure on himself thinking about that was the most imortant match in his life. and his main motivation were his children, apart from describing Chela as a tough player, with a nice and deep serve, good returner and a big fighter

He acknowledged the crowd. said they were incredible. He likes a lot Mexico and he will keep in his mind forever these good moments he spent this week there.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

He looks so happy in all those photos. The Argentine press are saying he broke down and cried at the end - it must have meant so much to him

And btw - GWH - where did you get those cute dancing smilies from?

He did break down and the articles I posted indicated and the photos as well. It has taken him some time to win one and maybe he can use this as a springboard and as I have said if a piece of crap like Ginepri can be top 20, then Lucho has some potential.

Too bad Pancho wasn't there this time, as he has done some good work with him.

The smilies that is a trade secret, actually Escude found them.
