Re: Thomaz Bellucci

we need Granollers to withdraw from Kitzbühel, so Sonja's full support can carry Thomaz toglory this week

I hope Baggy or Bellucci can advance from this section and make a run for the title afterwards

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Ivanatis, what?

To be honest I'm seriously worried because of what happened against Bogomolov.. But Haas/Gonzalez at their form should be OK...
Baghdatis is defending his final... should be interesting but I don't expect a QF even so I wouldn't say it is impossible.

Never ever give up

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I'm still disappointed because he lost that match against Bogomolov and I can't imagine what the hell happened on court... but I can't be too optimistic with this tournament as well but hopefully he beats the returned Haas.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I'm still a bit skeptic about him going to North America so early. Gstaad would have been perfect for him with his skills on clay and also especially the altitude with his strong serve. I'd have preferred him playing there, then no play this week and travelling early to Canada to get the necessary practice. He won't be a seed there unfortunately, so could run into Nole or Rafa in round 2 if he's unlucky.

Haven't seen Haas' first round match, but the score suggests that he seems improved (or maybe Delic was just plain bad). Can't stand Haas, so Thomaz'd better beat him. It probably won't be easy. And if he does, he will have 2 matches today, playing Baggy/Devvarman later the day, but it kinda evens out as his opponent will have 2 matches today too.

Most important now is he gets seeded in New York and can avoid top players in the first two rounds. It's really edgy right now.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I heard Haas was very bad in last week so I guess Bellucci can win at least this match...

This plan is good for the US Open at least, he hasn't played too lot in these court but Hamburg and Gstaad would have been better than these tournaments. I just hope we will see the results from this week at the US Open, I mean he get to know enough these courts and will play well there.

Never ever give up

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

beats Golubev, pretty shaky performance though, needs to step it up to avoid a thrashing from Gasquet (or Mayer)

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

DC vs. Russia (Hard (RuKortHard), Indoor)

Bellucci d. Andreev 6-4 6-3 6-3
Youzhny d. Bellucci 2-6 6-3 5-7 6-4 14-12 (after 5 hours)

now it all comes down to Mello-Andreev who wins, i.e. almost zero chance for Brazil

So heartbreaking for him; watched the last half of the 5th set and ...........
