Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I noticed he's wearing Nike shoes yesterday and now he's in Adidas kits and yeah, it looks good on him, even though it's pretty plain.

He got broken at love in the opening game.

2:3*

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Had chances 15-40 & several deuces at 2:3* but couldn't use them. Then lost the next serve game too. 5W/13UEs

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

As usual, too many errors cost him the match.

He calls the trainer for his foot after the break. 2-3*
Apparently he's changed the apparel sponsor, since his coach's also wearing Adidas shirts.

Back on serve!! 4-4

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Save 2 more BPs at 4-4 (from 15-40), and get the 2nd break of the set for 6:4!

W/UE ratio: 2/11 for Marcos, 8/16 for Thomaz
90% points won on 2nd serve

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Net two sitters and one easy volley 2:3*

Get the break back right away with three and one more errors from Marcos

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Maybe he better not come to the net ever, how the hell is his volley getting worse?

2-6, 6-4, 6-7(4)

Not that I'm frustrated about this loss particularly, as Marcos raised his level at the end of the match, but losing these final set TB time and time again isn't good to see.

Hope he gets a couple of win under his belt in New Haven before going to NY.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

(6)Nikolay Davydenko (RUS) vs Michael Russell (USA)
Simon Greul (GER) vs Richard Gasquet (FRA)
Kevin Anderson (RSA) vs Somdev DevVarman (IND)
(WC)Tim Smyczek (USA) vs (26)Thomaz Bellucci (BRA)

A loss to Lacko in New Haven is not the ideal lead in. Smyczek could pose a problem for Thomaz.

Baker (USA) - Bedene (SLO) - Bellucci (BRA) - Berta (SWE) - Cuevas (URU) - Domijan (USA) - Ebden (AUS) - Estrella (DOM) - Grigelis (LTU) - Guccione (AUS) - Heliovaara (FIN) - Kavcic (SLO) - King (BAH) - Kontinen (FIN) - Kubler (AUS) - Lajovic (SRB) - Matosevic (AUS) - McGee (IRE) - Millman (AUS) - Mitchell (AUS) - Nielsen (DEN) - Nieminen (FIN) - Paire (FRA) - Udomchoke (THA)

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Yeah, Lacko can play some good tennis though.

Kinda tricky but certainly not a bad draw. Hopefully he makes 3rd round.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

doing fine
2-0 sets ahead vs. American Smyczek
next would be Kevin Anderson, a lot tougher
