Re: Thomaz Bellucci

In the ceremony I'm almost crying following him.
Well done, Thomaz.
Though it could've been better, I really enjoyed every moment
and I'm totally satisfied with his fascinating performance in such a tough stage.
especially the last return game.
Hope he can hold the momentum as long as possible.

-Robred had only two broken games in the whole tournament.
As you know, both of them were from final.
-Anyway, what did he say in the ceremony interview?
-I had a sort of superstitious thing, so couldn't post anything for last 3~4 days.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I think the 1000 indoor events are enough for him, and one grass tourney only before Wimbledon, otherwise I like your calendar.

he started vs. Granollers, good luck

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

He failed to serve it out and stay in the set two in a row.
1st & 2nd set exactly same pattern.
Tough opponent but still a very capable match, probably he was tired after last week run though.
Good luck in Acapulco!

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

I think Monfils on clay is a lot overrated due to his really lucky draw at RG last year, imo he's much better on hardcourts. And as it's South American clay his chances are probably even worse than on European clay.

not sure though if Thomaz is good enough to beat Monfils, no matter which surface, but I expect him to win at least one set

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

(Scoreline description of the match):
Ah Bellucci didn´t played well, he was losin a lot of points in the first set and lost 6-3 he defended 4 mp but not the fifth, with only 1 BP
Then on second, he started to really grow on the match, got 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 BP!! Couldn´t break, everything seemned lost when Devilder broke back. But Bellucci showed why he has talent, kept trying ands then broke back tiwce with 5-3! Then he maneged to egt broke again but broke again LOL!! 6-4
Third set and this mugfest continued, he opened 3-1, got to 3-3 then 5-4 and broke to win the match.
His 2nd serve points are still very low but he managed to increase his return points in the match.
Let's hope he plays better against Monfils.
