Thanks everyone

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

no quali, he made the cut for Melbourne pretty easily

Reynolds and King Oscar won their quali matches which means that Bellucci is the highest seeded loser in the final qualification round and will thus probably be the first choice for a Lucky Loser spot in case somebody withdraws from Auckland
so I guess he will wait for the main draw to start and travel to Melbourne afterwards if nobody withdraws

Or a seed in bad form. He needs good wins to get confidence

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Yen-Hsun Lu is the first opponent at Melbourne. Hopefully Thomaz can win this one. If he wins it, probably Nalbandian on the second round.

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

yup, I hope so as well; bad luck with Nalbandian in R64, there's probably no way Thomaz can win it
but he also could have drawn him in R128, so Lu is fine

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

my 5.000th post of course for my favourite thread

http://www.abril.com.br/noticias/esp...1-238233.shtml

my Portuguese is basically non-existent, but I think Guga praises Bellucci a lot; maybe a native speaker can say the basic contents

Re: Thomaz Bellucci

Guga's quotes:

"The start of the year is always though for the Brazilians and the other guys from South America".

"[The preseason] it makes you not feel much comfortable in the beginning and it can last 3 or 4 events so you can start playing well. On the other hand, you win endurance to the rest of the year. It's a matter of strategy".

"As well as me, he needs more game rhytm and put the attacking balls in. Sooner or later he will start winning matches. It's a matter of time".

There are more, but this is the main point
