Steve's on a roll...

Federer: Lord of the Strings (quote borrowed from another MTF-poster)
Safin: His Royal Dork-ness
Hewitt: Mowing a lawn near you
Kuerten: tennis in the shape of a heart
Ollie Rochus: the lil'man that broke Karlovic

Re: Steve Darcis

Steve played well today and kept forcing the error from Gaudio. Hopefully he can get an easy first round and tear his way through the draw again.

Nicolas Massu on clay is never easy, but Steve has beaten several good players these last weeks. Maybe he can pull of a stunt again

1R: S.Darcis - N.Massu (CHL)

Indeed, he will have to stay focused against Massu.

If he wins, he will probably meet Robredo in the second round...

Re: Steve Darcis

Steve just saved two match points against Massu and wins 6-7(8) 7-6(0) 6-4. He has either Kubot or Robredo next. Kubot and Robredo have split sets so hopefully Kubot.

Re: Steve Darcis

Congrats Steve with your amazing victory

Strange that he plays that solid these last few weeks. Why didn't he do that all his career

Come on Lukas, beat Robredo

Re: Steve Darcis

Well, Steve did not get by Robredo but made him work hard. And now Robredo won the tournament so that means that it was the toughest opponent Steve could get.
Anyone knows if he will move up the rankings after Sopot?

My Pics of Steve from the US Open

Steve played extremely well against Haas, but he couldnt use his chances in the second set and in the end Haas was too strong. However, another promising performance!
