Jordane Doble looked not bad at all at local French CNGT tournaments earlier this year. So here might be quite a tough match as well.
I don't know why, but its the kind of match he's able to lose.

Also Arnaud is in the entry list of Surbiton Challenger (a grass tournament that takes place on the 2nd week of Roland Garros). Looks like he doesn't have too high hopes even for doubles and is going to get rid of clay as soon as possible...
Even in double, clay is not his surface. I wonder why he keeps saying RG is his favorite tournament...
But this year, he even doesn't think to play well in Paris, because he's focused (obsessed) by the OG !

It was cute. lol

i don't have a problem with that! if he's chosen two things to focus this year (and that's the grass season, and OG, imo) it's sensible decision. he can spend the rest of his time with nolwenn lol

Re: News Arnaud

It's even a shame there's only 1 French, they were 80 % at the beginning !

Re: News Arnaud

He lost (3)6-7 / 7-5 / (3)6-7

It's was so close. In the first set, they held their serves. In the second, Kunitsyn led 3-0 and then 4-2 but Arnaud came back to 5-5 and finally won it 7-5.

In the third set, Arnaud was serving to lead 3-1 but he failed. Then Kunitsyn had broken Arnaud and was serving for the match at 5-3 but one more time Arnaud came back to 5-5 and led 6-5. He was serving for the match but lost his serve and the tie-break.

What a pity!

First round in Casablanca, he will play Santiago Ventura.

Re: News Arnaud

That's always such a pity when a player loses with this close score but I suppose it would be too much to expect him reaching the final. His 3 wins in a row against tough opponents is already a surprisingly great result. So maybe he'll manage to win a set or two at Roland

Familiar faces eh?

It's because he served for the match that I said it was such a pity. 3 wins in row is obviously very good for him but I hope this close defeat will not stop him in his progess.

You're optimistic!! He could face to a top player and go directly to Surbiton without winning a set in RG

Not a great match as we can see on Bruno/Nolwenn's faces...

Re: News Arnaud

He will play double with Thierry Ascione. First round against Montanes and Ventura yet. Not easy.
