Re: Welcome to grass 2011

10-12

That sucks. Another lost epic 5-setter, he doesn't deserve that again

So many blown oppotunities in the 4th set, break-points at 3-3, 4-4..

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

I hate it that I couldn't see it. You never know how the bp's where lost. I've seen Stakhovsky lose 19 bp's in one match at Halle. Some of which where his own fault, but a lot which were lost by better play from his opponent.

But a good fight from both, to Lukas and Arnaud.

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

It could be ok if they lost in 3, in 4...

But 12-10 in the fifth set!! This starts to follow Arnaud everywhere, he is always the losing side in these epics. He really needs finally to win one of these matches...

Tough loss again in 5 sets . In the 5th Dlouhy lost his serve with a double fault at 30/A to give a break point, an then a missed volley by Arno (but not an easy one), there was a streaming link on fromsport. It remains a very good result in GS especially for a 1st association ...Arno please stop playing with your buddies and choose doubles specialists, your results would be better for sure

Can he play Newport finally ?

Clément * Paire * Gasquet
Djokovic * Mahut * Llodra * Tsonga * Dimitrov * Chardy * Simon * Federer

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

Arno must have suscribed the painful five sets losses I can't count them .

Well Lindstedt and Tecau are good servers so not easy to break them. Pity there were something to do in next round to catch a final here.

I was not following very closely but i counted only 3 BP on that fourth there were crucial that's sure but the others are good servers very powerful.

I didn't see the end but not surprising Dlouhy is a doublefaulted man usually I think Arno is better when is associated with a great server Dlouhy is not exactly that kind of guy but a good double player. From what i saw there were quite creative not only i serve then i put a volley Well they looked like a quite good team in that Wimbledon .

It was exactly that, in the fourth set they played great points to obtain a few break points but it was always saved by a big serve, nothing to do with it ! In the 5th, Lindstedt/Tecau served amazingly...Even with 2 winning returns by Arno & one beautiful winning lob return by Dlouhy in the same return of game they didn't have an opportunity. Both were playing well but not their best tennis exactly at the same time.

Clément * Paire * Gasquet
Djokovic * Mahut * Llodra * Tsonga * Dimitrov * Chardy * Simon * Federer

I thought Dlouhy was a good server until I saw him play today and Arno who served the 1st to begin the match which is quite unusual . But there were a few doubles fault, only 4 in the whole match, Dlouhy even saved the 1st break point in the 5th with an ace ! They were pretty good on serve & in the game but had to play more points on their serves than the others and that made the difference at the end...a pity .

Clément * Paire * Gasquet
Djokovic * Mahut * Llodra * Tsonga * Dimitrov * Chardy * Simon * Federer

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

In the matchs i saw from Dlouhy he was often Doublefaulted on crucial points then i don't see him every weeks. He's surely not so bad on serve but it's not a reliable guy like can be a Mika.

From yesterday evening something i didn't understand, well already Arno who serves first which can be unusual but more strange Arno won the toss and decided to let the decision to their opponents I never saw someone won the toss and decided to decide nothing Why they did that For the fun maybe

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

Arno just post on his facebook and he doesn't seem too much frustated a bit disappointed as the win was close but less than for his single match. He says he will focus on the following tournaments and he has quite good sensations and stays positiv Now he's leaving for the US.

He's in Newport MD now so it gives him more days. Playing saturday would have been too tough imo.

That's great news!

I think Newport is the best chance for Arnie to rise up his rankings. Not very strong field and fast grass.

Yes it's a good opportunity to take some points but he could also draw Dimitrov or Mahut at 1st round, not easy. Let's hope a better draw than St Hertogenbosh one !

Clément * Paire * Gasquet
Djokovic * Mahut * Llodra * Tsonga * Dimitrov * Chardy * Simon * Federer

Re: Welcome to grass 2011

Arnaud is really unlucky this year in the small grass tournaments getting Harrison in the 1st and Isner in the 2nd round
