Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

I'm sad.
Bas day for the frenchies. 4h30 on tv and web, 2 5 sets and 2 losses.
Nothing to add.

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

Arnaud has some regrets about the fourth set where he made stupid errors at 30A or 40A while Dolgo breaks whith two fohehand who touched the lines. True that at the beginning of the fourth he had his chance on the long games on Dolgo's serve. Arno still doesn't want to speak about retirement even at the end of the year

Quote:

Thanks for the article.
The end makes me feel better. He does't want to retire, not this year, not the next year...

Always the same analysis of the match who seems quite good and he doesn't seem to much deceived and in a quite good mood.

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

We can conclude this clay thread with no wins in RG this year and it's 3 years now he didn't win a double matches here. Nico was unbeatable in doubles lately but with arno and no tournaments of preparation together they didn't push out the tenth seeds.

Now it will be Nottingham and the grass

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

Well, you forget to say the score. 7/5 7/6 just a pity they played a so good pair.
That's a bit sad, he leaves Roland Garros so early !
(But the tournament is
not really over for him, Nolwenn will play "le tournoi des personnalités" for the first time this year, she needs her coach ! Lol)
At least he didn't lose his time this week, some fans saw him at Lady Gaga show in Bercy last sunday and he attented to the concert of Muse on monday !

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

pity too that arno seems more like a celeb around tourneys rather than player

did you see the doubles marine?

ps. why didn't he play with seb in the doubles, does anyone know? surely that would give one last match for seb lol was it because their combined ranking would not be high enough? damn

It's always better than to not see him at all.

In our newspaper today they wrote that Seb retires immediately, because of injury. So I guess he already knew he couldn't play at RG and just waited to give the official statement at RG?

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

Off Topic

Everybody here knows Camille Pin. She just has annonced she stops her career after her last match in
double.
It was tough for her for 1/2 years, she had some injuries and personal problems (I think her mother is very sick) and was absent on the courts since january. She played estoril and RG that's all.
Camille was one if the nicest girls of the tour.
I feel sad, all a generation is retiring, after santoro and mauresmo the last year, Seb, Camille this year, 4 very nice and smart players.

Re: Add fuel to the fire aka Clay Season

I read that yesterday. Camille is the only woman I've seen a match from voluntarily. Not like "Oh, I want to see the men after this and am not giving up my seat."

I like Camille but I must admit her game is annoying and not spectacular.
