I was at his match and....BRAVO PAULO

Great match. Great atmosphere in the stadium.
I've never cheered for a player as much, I think I can be proud of myself lol

Re: Articles & Interviews

Paulo winning RG? That would be awesome! He seems to me like the kind of guy that when he puts all his mind, determination and heart to something, it pays off for him, so allez PHM

Why would he play tennis if not to win RG?
He plays well there so he has to believe in his chances. Last year, he had match points to reach the quarters. This year he lost in the 3rd round but against the #1. I am convinced he could have gone further with a better draw.
What he just needs is a good draw and a great mental but he has the skills to go far on clay.

Thanks Marine for the support you gave him. I have heard your "Allez Paulo" several times.

Actually he won before...I mean in junior against "Boredo"!
As much as I stay positive, reality beats my heart! At this moment I don't think he can. To win RG,having a superb mental and physical state are essential. He should practise more how to play better at crucial moments. Now his new mission is to win the MM title first, (I believe he can win one this year after beating his buddy! ) then step by step to win others!

Of course in 2006, he can't win it...

Anyway, Tulasne said it will be next year or maybe within 2/3 years. What I understood from this comment is just that they are confident and they will do their best to achieve it.

Of course I didn't say that he will win it for sure but it's a good thing to hear such comments.

Re: Articles & Interviews

hehe, you lovelys

sometimes i thought there are always some players who can never touch GrandSlam trophy no matter how he is talented and plays hard while some would get one even he himself didnt expect that. all the miracles depend on God's hand.

lets enjoy, Paulo

Re: Articles & Interviews

It's logic...

Since Nadal is the best player on clay, then whoever beat him could beat anybody else! And as for me, he played well enough to support that statement

I think he was upset when he did the interview. He came in with all the confidence in the world. He knew he COULD beat Nadal so when he didn't he's just upset...

I'm sure he's not arrogant

Re: Articles & Interviews

Why was he so sure he will beat Nadal? There`s no player in the world that can go on a clay court against him and be sure he will win.Yes he was probably just upset,to give your heart out for 5 hours and than lose can`t be easy, but still that was a pretty naive thing to say considering that Federer and Nalbandian(who I think will be the winner) are still in the game.

Re: Articles & Interviews

I got a chance to interview for the scholarship... there are 5 candidates, one of them is my friend who's the no.1 in my school -- 4.00 gpa -- he's amazing as all the teachers saw it

Anyway, I was in the last 5, and I was pretty naive to think that I was going to get it. I was "sure" actually. I just felt so confident without any reasonable reasons.
Of course, it turns out that I didn't get it.

I don't know whether this has anything to do with Paulo... But I sort of understand the situation in some level. And yes, maybe it's just naivete

Hope this loss will drive him to reach even higher 'cos I felt that way

Thumbs up Re: Articles & Interviews

If he can win much more matches when he talks arrogant stuff,go ahead! Sometimes arrogance can push people to higher limit!

Dear, your result is really good compared with me. In last semester I just wanted to dig a hole to die coz my gpa is too low. This semester I hope I have a big change in exam,in test or projects I admit when I act harsh and demanding, the result is better. Just some classmates dislike this style, but who cares?
