Who is taking Paulo's place now?? It seems like it would've been a great event.

Re: Articles & Interviews

I'm wondering about that as well. Haven't found any update yet.

Nadal-Santoro and Gasquet-Monfils took part in past exhibition matches... Such a shame no Paulo-Jo this year I think I saw a video of baby Paulo won this juniors tourney in 1996 I can imagine that it would mean a lot to him to be asked to play an exhibition match there.

Re: Articles & Interviews

If he won the Juniors tourney, then it probably meant a lot to him to get invited to play there again Paulo has the worst luck with these injurys

Re: Articles & Interviews

In L'Equipe today:
MATHIEU VA MIEUX.
The medical tests on Monday evening were good, he can resume with the physical training and start practicing again on Friday, which means he will be in Marseille.

Re: Articles & Interviews

Thank you, Françoise

Good news I was so worried that I want so badly to see his test results, x-ray or MRI or whatever

You have had your quota of injury and brain cramp (against Sirianni ), Paulo! Now let's have a decent year

Re: Articles & Interviews

MATHIEU PRESENT

Re: Articles & Interviews

That's good news.
I wonder who Paulo is training with this week.. as both of his coaches have DC duties.

Mathieu Wins Battle of Frenchmen in Marseille

Paul-Henri MathieuPaul-Henri Mathieu took the first step towards breaking back into the Top 20 after winning a tight first-round match with fellow Frenchman Marc Gicquel at the Open 13 Monday.

Mathieu, who at No. 21 in the South African Airways ATP Rankings is just two places away from his career-high mark of No. 19, fired 11 aces in a tough 7-6(7), 7-6(4) victory. The eighth seed next will play either countryman Michael Llodra or Andreas Seppi.

Mathieu, 26, was playing his first match since retiring in the fourth round of the Australian Open to Rafael Nadal. Today's victory was the 150th of Mathieu's career. He reached the Marseille quarterfinals two years ago.

He said: "I'm happy to win this match. I did two weeks of rehabilitation after the Australian Open and I was practicing last week. I didn't watch Davis Cup too much. In any case I hope to be back in the team for the quarter against the United States."

From La Provence:

so I guess he was training with Guillaume, another Team Lagardere staff, last week. How many coaches will he work with this year?
