Re: Casablanca - Clay Court Season 2010

A performance as bad as this is pretty worrying for PHM, even in his first match back on clay.

Seems he has no chance of staying in top 50 this year.

The girls better sing to him again, it got him off to a positive start in the 1st set at least.

Welcome to my world. Apparently I like them stressful.

Q. You must have so many different emotions going through your head. Was it like a rollercoaster for you?
STANISLAS WAWRINKA: Yeah, yeah, it's quite crazy..I never expect to win a Grand Slam.
I never dream about that because for me, I was not good enough to beat those guy.

Maybe the sky will fall?

Someone dares to identify himself as a ManU fan?

Paulo is playing like AndyM when he lost to Fish... Tragic

That's really courageous, huh?

I like to watch the odd Paulo match but I couldn't cope with having him on board permanently. Richard, Nalby, Andy M and Stan are quite enough for me in the stress department.

His footwork is kinda off. He didn't run for a lot of shots he could have. I think it's fair to say Paulo is still feeling the pain. It's mentally tough as he said before in an interview. I'll give him a pass for this silly match

Just wish he skipped the trip to the States.

Of course, he does.

If you've been following him long enough you would know that he cares, despite the look on his face and his body language.

Now I doubt we're going to take out Bayern. So much for a lucky draw.

And I'll be cheering for Arsenal tomorrow... Although I think Barca is going to win, BIG TIME

Well, Paulo usually suffers from a second-half-of-the-year-slump. This is a change

Olga, don't you wish someone really was becoming a dad? Would have been great motivation!

He's been playing through the pain when he could have just skipped the event, so yes, he cares.

Maybe he tries to work out his hip, as it's been stiff, as he said, that's why he plays all those tourneys. And besides it helps to overtake the mental block from moving around as he usually does. Well, at least that's what I think...

Or vice versa, you never know with Paulo. But yes, it is worth giving a try. (not that it's me to decide, but still )

I was thinking of him having an earlier preparation on clay, doing physical therapy and all. But I guess that can't be compared to playing an actual match

I would pay to babysit little Paulo

I'm trying to channel thoughts of RG08 to him. He could definitely still comeback.

You mean those late substitutions? Oh, indeed! Hoping for Gibson to turn things around in the end was strange, knowing his great passing ability
Well, you know our history... Wazza may be up for the game, though.

Not that I believe in miracles, but me too!

It won't help gaining confidence, I believe, and that's what Paulo needs right now (besides of getting rid of the pain, of course)

Guess we'll have a queue for that!
