Yes indeed, he is going to need it. His ranking is bound to drop next week when he is not playing, and most of the players ranked near to him are!

A good run here, Andy, please.

Hmm, with any luck he'll get past his first round opponent.

But Ljubicic in the next round? That's not good.

Time for Pimms...

The draw

[15] DJOKOVIC, Novak vs Bye
NIEMINEN, Jarkko vs GASQUET, Richard
MURRAY, Andy vs [Q] Navarro-Pastor, Ivan
Bye vs [3] LJUBICIC, Ivan

Yikes! I see him beting Navarro-Pastor, but not Ljubicic. (Will have to play two Ivan in a row )

Andy beats the first Ivan 6-2 6-4. The match against Ljubicic will be interesting; hopefully Andy will put up a good fight. He's got a shot at it if he serves well.

Yeah, good win.

Ljubicic in the 2nd round is just plain bad luck though. On the other hand...well, Murray often plays his best when he's the underdog (as opposed to when he's favourite).

Fingers crossed!
