Murray withdraws from Davis Cup

BBC Sport:

Murray withdraws from Davis Cup
Great Britain's Davis Cup hopes have been hit by Andy Murray's withdrawal from Sunday's singles with injury.
The Scot was scheduled to play Noam Okun in the first of the day's matches in Eastbourne as the hosts look to overturn a 2-1 deficit against Israel.

Murray, 19, played two five-set matches on the first two days of the tie and they have taken their toll.

Having won his singles on Friday, Murray strained a shoulder and injured his neck in Saturday's doubles defeat.

Jamie Delgado, who played with Murray in the doubles, is set to step into the fray and take on Okun with Alex Bogdanovic playing Andy Ram in the second match.

If Great Britain fail to win both matches they face a September relegation play-off in Euro-Africa Zone Group One against Ukraine in Kiev.
