(1)Andy Roddick (USA) vs Mardy Fish (USA)
Wayne Arthurs (AUS) vs Tomas Zib (CZE)
Yeu Tzuoo Wang (TPE) vs Q
Bjorn Phau (GER) vs (8)Xavier Malisse (BEL)

(4)Robby Ginepri (USA) vs Dmitry Tursunov (RUS)
Andrei Pavel (ROM) vs Cyril Saulnier (FRA)
Vincent Spadea (USA) vs Bobby Reynolds (USA)
Q vs (6)Tommy Haas (GER)

(5)James Blake (USA) vs Kristof Vliegen (BEL)
Scoville Jenkins (USA) vs Paul Goldstein (USA)
Ivo Karlovic (CRO) vs Q
Mark Philippousis (AUS) vs (3)Tommy Robredo (ESP)

(7)Max Mirnyi (BLR) vs Robin Soderling (SWE)
Kenneth Carlsen (DEN) vs Q
Andy Murray (GBR) vs Rainer Schuettler (GER)
Jonas Bjorkman (SWE) vs (2)Nicolas Kiefer (GER)

Schuettler shouldn't be a problem!
This might end with Kiefer in the 2nd round!
I can see Andy beating him when Kiefer has a bad 1st serve percentage and his own is above 60%. Good Luck

Re: RMK *Memphis*

Andy def has a great shot against Nic. His confidence is at an all time high and could carry him through. The only thing I'm worried about is a let down. Even with a let down he should be able to beat Rainer (he's been playing like crap the last 2 years) But if Andy brings that into the match with Nic then watch out. Keeping my fingers crossed.

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Re: RMK *Memphis*

Oh aye, he will definitely play. He may get some clemency from the tournament organisers and his match may be one of the very last in the first round cycle. After performing in san jose so well Andy will be a big draw, and the yanks have taken to him quite well anyway.

A good performance this week and Murray will overtake henman and rusedski and be british number one, as both will slide if they don't perform.

He deserves a day to savour his win, but then he needs to get back to hard work, for that is what is needed to get where he wants. Hard work and consistency.

Re: RMK *Memphis*

Schuettler stinks now. Have to fancy Andy to win comfortably even after a tough week he's just had.

Kiwi might be a tight one, but if Andy can play his game and force him to start smashing rackets and losing it then he's well in there.

I am BUOH, warrior of heart and soul.

Re: RMK *Memphis*

He should make the second round fairly easily. Kiefer is a tough match but by no means impossible for Andy. If he wins that one I'd fancy him to beat any of the possible opponents in the QF's. Could be another good run for Andy.

Champions deserve whatever they win playing within the laws of the game

Re: RMK *Memphis*

Murray Defs Schuettler 1-6, 7-5, 6-2

i was worried he was going to loose when Schuettler was serving 5-4 30-30 and murray hadnt broken him all match.
