Well done Andy good job, watch out for the comments after the match next time though. Some people won't like it even though it was tongue in cheek!

Shitty performance but still.
He will blow Mario, biggest choker of the tour, off the court.

I reckon Andy has a very good chance of beating Ancic and making it into the next round - unlike this time last week when he was playing Berdych, I feel pretty confident about the next match.

Re: ~*The Australian Summer*~

Good job Andy

As for the whole comment thing, call me a blinded Murray fan but I really don't see anything wrong it. I'm a female and I'm not offended by it in the least. It was funny and it shows he follows women's tennis(the whole Svetlana comment during Hopman Cup). I even read by someone at the tournament (angelical-Jean) that the crowd wasn't even booing and that people around her laughed about it. (Plus, some people couldn't even hear what he said) Any hoo:

Good luck against Mario

I think our Auckland crowd was quite amused by Andy's opening match... it was pretty entertainning. The crowd did laugh at his comment - well, the ones that heard it did (I didn't actually hear it and t wasn't until I read it here I realised that must've been what they were laughing about). I can see how it could've been taken wrongly and deemed offensive but personally, I probably would've laughed at the comment too...

Andy's match against Mario is 2nd on centre court after Ferrer...

I agree, Andy is pretty comfortable playing against guys who serve and volley, just ask Taylor Dent I think the match will depend how Andy serves, I'm confident he can break Ancic but he hasn't been serving well recently, he'll need to improve his first serve % and then I think he can win.

Re: ~*The Australian Summer*~

What a match though!!!!! The Croatian fans cheering and then Andy fans cheering back. It was soooo tense in that 2nd set... The whole crowd just went quiet when the guys were playing and then exploded into cheers for whoever won the point. And the tie-break... wow... talk about nerve-wracking. It was an unbelievable match and some amazing tennis too. I don't know what Andy's first serve % but it, unfortunately, was not good...
