He played better from beginning to end. He played the big points brilliantly and was mentally much tougher.

I saw a video about Andy produced by the BBC, "The man behind the racquet" and was very moved by it. He's such a great guy, there's much more to him than meets the eye. So Andy is now my second favourite player, after Nole.

I felt very happy for Andy when he won. And I've been happy all day. That's quite extraordinary, given that Nole lost a slam final.

Congratulations, again. Your man made you proud.
So sweet

Re: Andy's road to Grasscourt glory 2013

First post in ages.

Glad I stayed away from the 'net and immersed myself in the match. Went through the wringer in that final game, felt increasingly sick as three MPs became two, then one...then having to stave off BPs - willed him over the line. PHEW. Nole really made him earn it.

Over the moon for Muzza

Fair play to the Nole fans who've posted both in this thread and in GM, in spite of your disappointment you've been so gracious and humble in defeat.

Andy Murray

Tsonga, Wawrinka, Zverev, Sock, Thiem, Muller, Kyrgios, Stepanek

Anyone see the Murray reference in Eastenders?

Re: Andy's road to Grasscourt glory 2013

I finally watched the BBC documentary thing (the post-final version) because I knew watching it when it first aired would just make me even more nervous about Wimbledon. It actually still made me kind of nervous, I had to remind myself that it was over and he won.
