Re: 2012 - July - Olympic Dreams...

Congratulations Andy Murray, Olympic Champion! Fantastic effort to achieve silver in mixed doubles too.

What a comprehensive victory, in straight sets in best of 5-set format. Played like I always knew he could, but ultimately, he had to find his own way in his own time.

I'm so thrilled for him, his family, his team. I'm beyond myself with joy as a fan.

Great pic even if a bit Unionist for my tastes
Anyone seen stats of the Olympics matches? Am I right in thinking he beat both Fed and Nole without losing his serve?

Re: 2012 - July - Olympic Dreams...

I may be wrong but I think Baghdatis was the only one who broke Andy's serve in the tournament.

Andy Murray: 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist. US Open Champ. Wimbledon champ. Never been prouder of him.

He definitely did not drop serve to either Roger or Nole.

I have a feeling Stan may have broken him once in R1.

I'm so torn, I want to see Andy play tomorrow and win Toronto, but I also want him to be rested and health for later.

Andy beat Cipolla 61 63 - was a bit trickier than the score looked.

Tournament presented him with a huge Gold Medal cake after his win.

Re: 2012 - August - American Life

Andy has pulled out citing knee injury - he did have the trainer on for his knee in the Cipolla match yesterday.

Looks like the transition from grass to hard is as uncomfortable for him as ever.

I saw he may have to withdraw from two Tournaments I wonder what exactly he did to his knee

Well he's in Cincy right now actually. A bunch of pictures and a video of him practicing. Ivan's there too. So we'll see.

I just saw that he was in Cincy. I hope that isn't a mistake I never did hear what the knee problem actually was?
