I should have guessed

I thought it was a nice moment and though I'm more of a Republican than anything else, we could do worse than her Maj, who seems a reasonably decent sort.

But enough already, it's a tennis tournament (a sport she hates), not a royal garden party.

Murray and Nieminen bow and the crowd cheered lustily.

I had to laugh.

Pretty good first set from Andy once the initial nerves had settled a bit.

First set 6-3

She's probably really bored but she is awake.

She must be an awesome poker player.

Re: "The road to success is always under construction"- Andy at Wimbledon

Pretty decent I thought - a bit loose here and there but altogether pretty good, nice to see him serving well.

Murray wraps it up in three comfortable sets, and does so nice and quickly to keep the Queen on schedule, he and Nieminen are introduced to the Queen on the balcony overlooking the outside courts for a brief chat and then she's orf to her next whatever, taking some little replicas of the two singles trophies with her as a souvenir.

Everyone involved breathes a sigh of relief that it all went off without a hitch - a British win, two perfect bows from Andy, he didn't drop a single F bomb and no streakers.

Now back to the tennis.

He came, he won, he bowed.

I think that sums it up.
